From Major Label to Boutique Firm
Ashley White spent 15 years at Atlantic Records in New York City developing PR strategy for artists like Jason Mraz, fun., Vance Joy, Halestorm, and Portugal. The Man. She worked across multiple genres, from developing acts to established artists, but all with one common thread – a great story. In 2018, she left to start the boutique firm Ashley White Public Relations, built on a foundation of storytelling and prioritizing a smaller, curated roster and long-term, trusted relationships.
What AWPR Does and Why
Ashley and her team design custom PR plans that are built around specific artist narratives, not a templated campaign dropped into their release cycle. The stories they refine, the media pitched, and the approach taken are completely tailored to each client. There is no one-size-fits-all. The needs of the artist dictate the way their stories are told.
The agency has worked with multiple Grammy-winning artists, launched emerging artists across a variety of genres (Dexter and The Moonrocks, GAYLE, Daisy Grenade), and built long-term narrative arcs deepening fan loyalty, rather than compromising clients’ identities to latch on to short-lived trends.

Ashley White, a 25-year publicity veteran, spent 15 years at Atlantic Records in New York City before starting Ashley White Public Relations (AWPR) as a home for artists with authentic stories seeking individualized attention and trust in their publicity team. She currently serves as the inaugural Co-Chair of Women in Music’s chapter in Austin, TX.
