The Clio Music Awards celebrate creativity in music marketing, brand & artist collaborations, and music in ads, television, film, games, and trailers. The 2026 program is now open for entries.
The Clios were founded in 1959 to celebrate creative excellence in advertising around the world. The Clio Awards legacy program sets a high bar across the globe for all creatives, inspiring the makers of today and tomorrow to pursue boundary-pushing ideas and bringing the community together at an annual world-class jury retreat and awards ceremony. As the industry expands and evolves, the Clios have developed programs across sports, music, health, entertainment, and more that adhere to the same criteria and standards, but are tailored to recognize the specific challenges and triumphs of a particular sector.
As a champion for the power of creativity to drive commerce and culture, the Clios are a constant source of inspiration via thought leadership programming, a vast global database of ads at AdsOfTheWorld.com, and a hub for original content at MuseByClios.com.
Clio Music, founded in 2014, is one of five verticals developed by the Clios to celebrate creative excellence in a specialized field. The program champions boundary-pushing marketing, advertising and communications from the brands, agencies, record labels, venues, artists, and creators that shape music culture. Each cycle, leaders from across the global music industry convene to determine which entries will earn the prestigious Grand, Gold, Silver and Bronze Clio Music Awards.
The 2026 Clio Music Awards program is open for entries in mediums and categories across music marketing, brand & artist collaborations, and the use of music in advertising, television, film, games, and trailers.
New this year:
NEW medium: Use of Music in Film, Television & Games - entries in this medium are for the creative use of music in any type of television show, film, video game, or other broadcast or streaming media. A NEW distinct Use of Music in Film, TV and Games jury will evaluate entries and determine accolades for this medium.
NEW specialty award: Innovation in Music Video presented by YouTube. The award will be presented to a recipient using a groundbreaking technique, technology, or creative video formats in the execution of a music video.
NEW categories: Art Direction has been added to the Design Craft medium, Microsite has been added to the Digital/Mobile, AI and Emerging Technology medium, and Use of Artists, Talent, & Influencers has been added to the Fan Engagement medium.
NEW: Songwriter of the Year honors will be presented at our awards show joining our existing accolades for Label, Publisher, Agency/In-House Agency, Advertiser, and Artist of the Year honors.
The 2026 Clio Music Awards will be presented during Grammy Week in Los Angeles with the date, venue, host, and special guests TBA.
