Tell us about what inspired you to work in the music industry, and how did it lead to the work you do today?

I’ve played guitar since the 2nd grade and had several “garage bands” growing up. My first industry memory was as an artist/producer in my indie rock band, where I assisted with creative work and worked with booking agents in the Miami scene. I then attended NYU/Clive Davis Inst. of Recorded Music and secured a marketing internship at Mom + Pop Records during Flume's craze. This was my initial marketing learning experience in the industry.

Is there a success story or career milestone that you are most proud of?

Launching Songtools - with our full suite of marketing tools was a very proud accomplishment! Subsequently, hitting +100K users milestone on that platform is a 2nd best!

Are there any projects you're working on or company updates that you're most excited about?

We are working on a plethora of updates, all centered around helping artists, labels, and music companies further their marketing efforts in an automated and affordable way. Most notably, we have PlaylistFly coming out soon; this is a one-click ad tool built to help grow playlists. I’m particularly excited about it because owning your own playlist is an amazing asset that can reap rewards well into the future. I suggest all artists and companies own their own list!

What's a lesson that you learned early on in the music biz?

Always keep truth on your side. The music industry is full of noise, egos, and shortcuts, but integrity cuts through all of it. If you do the work and stay grounded in real value, you'll build trust, avoid the traps, and create impact that actually lasts.

What's your favorite part of your job and/or company?

We recently launched an “Artist Growth” tab that tracks the real impact of our campaigns across the entire user base, helping artists and labels see exactly how their marketing investments are paying off. Watching that growth play out across hundreds of songs is hands-down my favorite part of the job. It’s proof that our platform is helping artists break through in a meaningful way.

What does being independent mean to you?

Being independent means having freedom. It’s about having the optionality, tools, and support to have your music grow to the highest levels, on your own terms.

Favorite song at the moment? 🎶

Outside of your work in music, do you have any other hobbies or particular areas interest/expertise?

I still produce a ton of music. I love running, going to the beach and golfing.

Any words of advise for rising music industry professionals?

Find a lane you’re passionate about and go all in. Don’t wait for permission, just start executing. Stay focused, stay curious, and keep refining your product, brand, and vision as you learn. The music industry rewards consistency and real innovation, so build with longevity in mind and let your work speak louder than your hype.
